How does the trail work?
During a new and exciting time for Kent Wildlife Trust we are proud to provide a new visitor experience in the form of our brand new interactive Kingfisher Trail!
The trail is made up of 10 posts each showing one of the fabulous species to be found on the reserve.
Each post has a QR code which you can scan with your smartphone or tablet, when you do this the data for that species will be downloaded to your device.
What is a QR code?
A QR code is a special barcode which can be read by the camera in your mobile device. Once it has read the barcode your mobile device will automatically take you to a dedicated webpage that is linked by the code.
This will introduce you to the special wildlife which can be discovered at Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve……but do check back in a different season as we will be changing the information.
To make the trail interactive for our younger visitors you will find that the animal on each post can be used to make a rubbing, you can purchase your special pack in the visitor centre, which will include all you need to take home a wonderful memento of your visit.
We hope you enjoy this new interactive trail and come back to see what changes we make throughout the year!
